Penguin Ventures was founded in 2001 by Willem Voorvaart and Serge Kremer.
After many years of successful general management careers in Dutch industrial businesses, they decided to put their efforts and money into an entrepreneurial career, for own risk and own reward. Since 2008 the Penguin Ventures team has been strengthened with Jan van Tiggelen.

Serge Kremer - Penguin Ventures

Serge Kremer (1966) received his M.Sc. in Physics from Delft University of Technology and did his MBA at INSEAD (Fontainebleau). He gained thorough marketing and sales experience with Cray Research Supercomputers in the U.S. and Ford Motor Company in Belgium. Subsequently, as managing director of a Stork operating company for 3 years, he was responsible for a fast-growing business in specialised technical services. In the period 2001-2006, Serge has been the managing Director of MPS (see Transactions), together with Willem Voorvaart.

Willem Voorvaart - Penguin Ventures

Willem Voorvaart (1962) received his M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology and his MBA from LBS / WBS. After gaining experience in the financial sector he worked for 4 years as management consultant for large Dutch enterprises. For a period of 5 years he was, as managing director of Stork operating companies, responsible for two large technical services businesses. In the period 2001-2006, Willem has been the managing Director of MPS (see Transactions), together with Serge Kremer.

Jan van Tiggelen

Jan van Tiggelen (1958) received his M.Sc. in electrical engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology. He started his career at Philips Electronics working as application engineer and as product marketing manager. He then worked as management consultant with many large and medium-sized companies. He has extensive experience in the counselling of mergers and acquisitions, and in strategic and operational improvement projects.
